Dr Dee de Bruyn has been a General Practitioner for over 30 years. She has worked extensively in general practice, emergency medicine, psychiatry, obstetrics and internal medicine in England, South Africa and Australia.
Her interests include all aspects of women’s and men’s health, mental health, paediatrics, adolescence and care of the elderly. She has a special interest in dermatology (including minor surgical procedures). She also takes a special interest in infertility and menopause. She inserts intrauterine and subcutaneous contraceptive devices. She is affiliated to provide shared antenatal care for patients with the Royal Hospital for Women. She runs our Covid-19 vaccination program with over 20 000 vaccines administered to date. She is registered to provide ADHD medications in patients who are stable on their medications and with the support of the treating psychiatrist.
She loves music and studied music for a year in Italy after school. She still plays the keyboard. She plays badge tennis and squash and hits an occasional golf ball. She is at her happiest cooking for large dinner parties where guests are regularly required to sing for their supper. She is married, with two teenage sons.
